Around 10 years ago, the crunch was all I knew. The crunch of meeting deadlines to line someone else’s pockets, of working to save up for retirement when I might be too old to enjoy the things I wanted, and of burning myself out for the sake of a company that didn’t care about me.
I wasn’t living on my own terms, but someone else’s.
I’m Gregory Lach, and here’s how I created a new life for myself. One where I made my own rules and my own choices.
As the inevitable burnout started creeping closer, I started looking for alternative sources of income.
One dream that kept popping up was owning my own business.
Yet time and again, I kept brushing it aside. Not because I couldn’t do it, but because the fear of failure held me back.
But if I’m not living for myself, I thought, isn’t that failure too?
Day by day these thoughts grew stronger. I had a front-row seat to the strain the corporate world was taking on my time and health. All I needed was the resolve to take the plunge.
Being unhappy with how my life & career looked like – I made a bold decission to move abroad when an opportunity showed up… risky action but I felt inside that somehow this move could benefit me in the long term…
I started working for a retail company and soon after I advanced to the managerial role, better money and recognition made me feel better for some time… but deep down I realized that no job ever will give me the peace of mind and freedom I was looking for.
I felt like my soul was craving for something else… it was like an intuition whispering to me that I was meant to be on a different path… so I could better use my talents and skills by helping others achieve a greater level of Success and Fulfillment.
As it appeared later – my passion for Personal Development has opened for me completely new doors… I had to learn how to shift my old negative Mindset – soon new thinking patterns started to create better emotions that caused better actions… no wonder why I started achieving different, better results… Also I decided to learn much-in-demand Digital Marketing strategies and got involved in acquiring Coaching skills as well.
So Gregory Lach of today is a very different man. I’m no longer bound – I’m driven.
I do things not because I have to, but because I want to. A world of choices has presented itself to me – I can finally travel where I desire, afford what I want, and work when I feel like it.
I believe each of us has a special combination of unique talents, strengths, and skills. When you tap into this unique potential, you gain a new perspective and suddenly new opportunities start open to you.
As the coronavirus forced people to stay inside and saw corporations laying off their workers without so much as a thank-you, I realize even more what a blessing it was that I became a small business owner a few years ago. I can still support my family working from home. We don’t have the financial woes that have sadly plagued many families recently.
